Demonstration Models

Here is a collection of small models that illustrate particular points about building and using CGE models. The models are grouped into two basic categories: single region and multi-region.

Single Region

Harberger
The Harberger model implemented in Ox.
Proto
A very minimal model that illustrates basic concepts in CGE modeling and is easy to implement and solve. A variant using a Cobb Douglas production function is also available.
Ramsey
Really a macro model rather than a true CGE model because it has only one sector. However, the Ramsey model is a useful reference case because it is the simplest model having intertemporal optimization with foresight.
Bones
A small three-sector model having the core features ("the skeleton") of a larger model.

Multiple Region

Two-Country Ramsey
